Hermine HORIOT, Freelance cellist, Paris

"It is a pleasure and an opportunity for me to have met a luthier like Sylvain. I was immediately impressed by his listening skills, the subtlety of his work and his ideas. A trustful collaboration was then established between us, based on a real exchange and a mutually agreed time.

Sylvie ENA, cellist

"I followed all the steps of making my cello, and it was a real pleasure when it appeared to me in the fall of 2014. Deep, brilliant, precise, dynamic, very homogeneous, with a magnificent elegance. Since then, the instrument has continued to develop its sound, thanks to the care of the luthier. It is perfectly resistant to atmospheric variations."

Cello in solid varnish on Montagnana model

Manufacturing a cello constitutes nearly 400 hours of work. Sylvain focuses as always on the richness and projection of the sound, while looking for ease of playing. The Stradivari, Amati and Montagnana models are the result of work on originals. They can be personalised according to the expectations of each artist.
